Dear Colleagues and Friends,
As the weather gets chillier, there is nothing better than a cozy evening by the piano or a gathering of friends for some music and cheer. What luck that the holidays come at such a perfect time, and what an exciting season of music this December turned out to be thanks to all of you!
Alan's Musical Hour gave us a delightful learning experience (as always! Thank you Alan!) to start off the month. We kicked off the holiday season with a lively duet-playing and fun holiday party, at which George gave an insightful and interesting presentation of his visit to Rome (wonderful! Thank you George!). It was great to see you all there; we should definitely do this more often!
And finally, the Young Artist Competition Winner's Recital was a truly fantastic experience. What a privilege to play in the newly-constructed Alice Tully Hall, with not only its state-of-the-art acoustics and design, but with the experience of a Carnegie Hall performance for our young musicians. Thank you so much to all those who made this wonderful program possible!
I hope that as we draw to the end of the year, you have a chance to take time out of your busy schedules and enjoy the magic and music of the season! I will be in Germany visiting my daughter for the next few weeks, and I wish you and your families all the joys and warmth of the holidays!
Best Wishes,
Marina
