U of O Field Trip - Job #
LESSON PLANS FOR SEAN CLARK – November 6, 2017
Class Policies – Washroom breaks are done BEFORE class. For this reason, I allow period 2 and 4 an extra couple of minutes to get to class. Anyone needing a break during class is asked to leave their phone on the desk so you can track that there is already a student out of class!
Seating Plan Binder is in the red supply folder.
Period 3 – 11:35 – 12:50 - Grade 10 Academic Science Rm 203
Reliable Students are Bernadette Noble and Teagen Trask
Lab handouts and worksheets are in student lab booklets.
Worksheets to be collected at the end of the period are in the brown supply folder
If anyone needs a ruler/protractor, they can use scissors to cut one out of the transparency copies. Please get them to return these after class
1 - Mira. Finding the Object, rules and Target Practice
2 - 2.21 1D Reflection Mira Activity worksheet.doc
After completing the diagrams, they can use the separate handout (In Folder) to identify the 2 rules for reflection in a plane mirror and can articulate clearly
"1 - The image is the same distance from the mirror as the object
2 - A line from the object to the image crosses the mirror at a right angle"
AT THIS POINT, STUDENTS NO LONGER NEED THE MIRA AND OBJECT STICKS
Then they have to predict where the mira would have to be placed in order to reflect the arrow tip(object) onto the bulls eye (image). This is done with a ruler and a protractor (same distance and 90 deg). Teacher can "check/mark" the "mirror" lines that students drew to check for accuracy.
3 - 2.23 Plane Mirror Ray Diagram Prep Activity.doc
4 - 2.21 Conceptual Physics WORKSHEET pg 93-94 https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bx61DkORzMlfcncxZFdHd2JLNWc/edit?usp=sharing
Period 4 – 12:55–2:10 Grade 10 Academic Science - Room 203
Reliable Students are Matya Turmel and Abbey Grace
Lesson Plan same as Period 3
