CHEPSTOW HARRIERS INCIDENT AND ACCIDENT REPORTING PROCEDURES

 

Chepstow Harriers volunteers have a duty of care towards its' members and has a responsibility to report accidents, incidents and fatalities using the link  https://www.uka.org.uk/governance/health-safety/

 

'Under common law, voluntary organisations, and individual volunteers have a duty of care to each other and others who may be affected by the activities.' UKA 2023

 

Definition for reporting purposes 

 

- Accident: An event that results in injury or ill health.

 

- Incident: An event not causing harm, but has the potential to cause injury or ill health.

 

- Fatality: An event that results in death.

 

UKA provides a Health & Safety Helpline, supported by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.

All  incidents, accidents and fatalities must also be reported to a Chepstow Harriers Committee member and Chairperson.
