Samantha Quart was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan. While in school, her major focus was on music. She was involved in choir, hand bells, and band throughout her entire education. She began as a clarinetist, but added the saxophone in high school in order to play the baritone for jazz band.
Samantha continued her studies at Central Michigan University as a Music Education major with an instrumental and general focus. While attending, she played clarinet, tenor saxophone, and sousaphone for various ensembles including concert, marching, and basketball band.
After graduating in May 2016, she was hired to be the band director at Santa Maria High School. She now teaches the jazz, marching, and concert bands to her wonderful students.
