Picking up the saxophone at the age of 12, Scott Anderson discovered the joy of music in his elementary school band program. Playing in several honor groups, Scott enjoyed playing in concert, marching, and Jazz bands all through high school.
Currently Scott is a full-time student at Allan Hancock College, majoring in Business Administration with plans of transferring to a 4-year University at the end of the 2018 academic year. Scott also enjoys playing with two of his school’s ensembles, the Hancock Big Band, as well as the Jazz & Pep Club, where he is founding member and president of the group. He can be found playing at sporting events for the “Blue Crew” pep band as well as gigging with the jazz combo, “Odd Method”, at a variety of casual and formal events.
When he’s not playing or schooling, Mr. Anderson works as service manager for Cleaning Supply Warehouse, where he installs and repairs industrial cleaning equipment, works in sales, and provides product training for local cleaning professionals. In his limited free time, Scott enjoys long walks on the beach and getting caught in the rain.
