DLC PRE-PARTY – We had a party in Yuma at the Colvin’s to get people excited about the challenge. Craig kind of let this be my thing, so I planned the food and games. He was in charge of having the house ready. I loved making Mickey themed food and setting it all up. Bret was a huge help and luckily the girls played downstairs by themselves pretty well during the party. Some people couldn't make it because of the Labor Day weekend, but I think it was a good turnout. I think there were about 20 people there.

DISNEYLAND CHALLENGE – The challenge was on Friday the 24th, so we drove the night of the 22nd so we would have all day on Thursday to play and double check a few things for the challenge. I think it all turned out great. We had six beginner teams and nine advanced teams. I got to run around and take pictures of the teams during the challenge, which was a lot of fun. And because we could get Mike & Candice in for free, we convinced them to come to the challenge. Although they weren't really competitive, I think they had fun, and we enjoyed getting to spend a little bit of time with them. Also, thanks to Bret, we were lucky enough to take a group of 14 others with us to Club 33. It was a memorable evening with two glasses being spilled on the table. And of course we couldn't have enjoyed the evening ourselves if Craig hadn't been willing to watch the girls for us. It made for a long day, but it was worth it.

If you don't already know about the Disneyland Challenge, you'll have to check out the website, www.disneylandchallenge.com. And then sign up to come next year!
