We've been keeping busy since Kristen finished school. The girls have done swimming lessons, and while all the girls haven't liked it much their first year, Emma has taken it to a whole new level. For the first two weeks she would cry, kick and scream every morning when it was time to get ready for swimming. At least for the 3rd and 4th week she would usually reserve her crying to just when Miss Kasie was working with her and she would have to get her eyes wet. Kristen has been a little fish swimming all around the pool and learned some new strokes. Laura did great too and was pretty good at doing what she was told. Kristen and Laura have also taken a cooking class that they love. They love the independence of being able to make something on their own, and I love it too!
We wanted to do something special for Father's Day and the girls wanted to throw a football party, since Bret likes football. So the day before Father's Day, we decorated with balloons, played football in the backyard, went swimming, played a game with a football field we made out of paper, hid paper footballs around the house, hid presents around the house, had snow cones, made home made pizza, home made ice cream (vanilla and strawberry) and had a great time being all together.
