Fuller

I'm so happy to own a Fuller. I don't think any of the other long rules can touch it for efficient use of size, ease of use and quality. Wrapping a scale in a spiral around a 6" tall, 3" diameter drum, Fuller achieved better precision than Thacher with a 18x4" drum, and Loga with a 20x6" drum. And the carrying case doubles as a stand. Nice, classy engineering all around.

Fuller Type 1

This one was made in England by Stanley in 1921, before K&E started making them in the US. The case has suffered some abuse, but the rule is in terrific shape. I've disassembled and cleaned it and shaved down all the felt so that the operation is once again smooth.
