Dietzgen

From what I recall, Deitzgen was pretty much a head-to-head competitor of Keuffel & Esser. Both made slide rules, drafting equipment, graph paper, stencils, and other items used for engineering in the ages before CAD. If you went to the book- or stationery store, those were the two names you'd mainly find.

Dietzgen Midget

This was a 4" diameter Gilson sold under Dietzgen's name

Dietzgen Binary

This was an 8" diameter Gilson. If you take it apart for cleaning, you find Gilson's name under the hub!

When I bought a K&E 4012 ("Thatcher") this was in the box too.

What a shame it wasn't cared for.
