IC 5146 (called the Cocoon Nebula) is an emission and reflection nebula in Cygnus, shown at left in this image. The dark nebula Barnard 168 is shown at the center forming the appearance of a trail beginning at the cocoon

Exposures: 46 unguided sub exposures, 30 minutes each (23 hours total), through Baader narrowband filters: Hydrogen alpha, Oxygen III and Hydrogen beta.

Image processing in PixInsight and Photoshop. The H alpha image was asigned to the red channel, OIII to the green channel and H beta to the blue channel.
