The Milky Way is not obscured by interstellar dust in a wide area in the constellation of Scutum, so a "cloud" of stars can be seen, the Scutum Star Cloud. The dark areas around and within the cloud are dark nebulae where interstellar dust obscure the milky way stars located behind. The prominent star cluster near the center is M11, the Wild Duck Cluster. Several other star clusters are visible as the open cluster M26 close to the down border of the image and the globular cluster NGC6712 which can be seen with a yellow tint below and to the left of M11. The round teal dot which can be glimpsed to the left of NGC6712 is planetary nebula IC1295 (click here to see a 100% size crop)

Image obtained from Hortezuela de Océn on July 11th with the same setup as that of the Pipe nebula (Canon 600D, Samyang 135 mm f2 lens, Polarie star tracker).

Total exposure of 80 minutes using one minute subexposures.
