Our mission is to foster expansion of tango dancing in the region, and to develop an appreciation of the culture from which it derives.
Argentine Tango is a romantic, expressive partner dance from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Hudson Valley Tango began in 1999 in the gazebo in Cold Spring Park, on the Hudson River shore in Putnam County, NY, with a small group of dedicated tangueros, Art & Gillian Day, Rob Clark and Walter & MariLynne Kane. With the help of invited tango masters, it has evolved into a source of tango enjoyment and education, hosting classes and social events, to foster the expansion of tango dancing in the region, and to develop an appreciation of the culture from which it derives
