On Tuesday 4/26 we awoke at Wapiti Shelter in no rush knowing we had only 8 miles planned for the day. Our destination was the Woods Hole Hostel. It proved to be absolutely wonderful and infused with charm. Run by Neville and Michael who took it over from Neville's grandmother, they live there full time and offer a tranquil respite for hikers. Accommodations are very inviting and a good word to describe it is the German word gemutlich. It oozes charm. The food is amazing the setting bucolic. They raise chickens, pigs, goats, cows, and lots of vegetables, all of which they serve at meals. This morning, Wednesday I say goodbye to this little piece of heaven as well as Ann and Anna, both of which will be sorely missed.
Starting at mile 624.
