Word Art Update

I have added more images to the Word Art page, and some descriptive text as well. With all of the recent greeting card designs and updates, I had nearly forgotten to add thumbnails of the Word Art that I had drawn in the past couple of months. In the Scriptural Word Art section, I have included a few different printing options, some of which include collage-style formatting. Earlier today, I had been working on making the collages possible, especially in preparation for the Renaissance Festival coming up in a couple of weeks at the Griswold Veterans Memorial Park, but also for web orders.

And speaking of the Renaissance Festival... I have completed the skirt that I wanted to make for my costume, and cut out all the pieces for making the corset-style vest. I'll re-use the blouse that I made for use as Lady Capulet in the local theater group's production of Romeo and Juliet. It needed some adjusting, and I'm almost satisfied with the alterations. Also as part of my costume I crocheted a snood to help keep my long, thick hair off my neck for the mid-summer event. After looking up the topic on Wikipedia, I decided to make mine both functional and decorative. Sometimes I even wear it around the house while doing chores -- Yes, I'm sort of weird that way. I took this photo of myself in the bathroom mirror. It's not really easy to take a picture of yourself over your own shoulder off a mirror. It took me a few tries before I got my aim pointed in the right direction. You can click on the photo to see a larger view of it. I think I'll post some photos of the rest of costume on a later date, when more of it is complete.
