New Product News:

During the few weeks before attending the March 8 craft event at Canterbury Elementary School, my mother and I had been crocheting up a storm in protest of the winter weather. We had acquired quite a bit of donated yarn, and even bought a few skeins, and worked up a number of hats and a few scarves. During these weeks a friend of ours showed me some crochet patterns she had found on the internet. I was inspired by one of these and got to work on an idea that started developing in my head. Within a few hours I had made a new bath-safe refillable soap-holder toy fish, using cotton (or cotton-blend) yarn. A few hours after that, I had completed a turtle. A few days later, a duckie. Another week later, a frog. Now the ideas are beginning to pour in. I've named my toy collection "Bath Buddies," and have given individual names to each of them. I expect that I'll build a web page for these soon. Look for more updates (and photos) to come.

Event News:

For the Lisbon Central School's springtime basket auction event coming up Friday, March 28, at 5:00 p.m., I have donated a basket of these first four Bath Buddies: Phinehas the Fish, Mishell the Turtle, Lavar the Duck, and Tad the Frog. This event is not in the vendor-booth style that I am accustomed to, but is more like an auction and raffle event. I'll have to attend and find out how their event works.
