2011-August-24:

It has been a while since my last update, so here are the most recent developments.

Craft Event News

The Central Village Fire Station on Route 12 (Plainfield, CT) is hosting a fund-raising craft fair. Their neighbor, the library, hasn't received funding this year, and would like to stay in operation and would REALLY appreciate our help. They are advertising this event on local radio stations and in newspapers.

I have a few more events on the horizon and will post them as I get confirmation.

Scripture Art News

Matthew 19:6 - "What God has yoked together let no man put apart."

In most of my 90-degree acrostic designs, the key word stands out in bolder, heavier strokes. I wanted a different "feel" for this lettering, as marriage should not be burdensome or oppressive. I chose to draw the lettering of "yoked" in narrower double-stroke lines to emphasize the joining of two lives, as well as the dual purpose of the lettering itself. This scripture, as framed art, would make a lovely wedding or anniversary present. Standard print comes superimposed over a photographic image of an open Bible. However, you may submit a photo of your choice and/or names of the bride and groom and a wedding or anniversary date for a customized order. (Please see Word Art Page for more details about customized orders.) I have already given one of these to a friend as an anniversary gift, and they were delighted with it.
