2011-November-16:

Otis Library in Norwich (CT) will be hosting "O 'Tis a Festival at Otis" -- a craft event this Saturday, November 19, from 10 am to 3 pm. They are opening two floors to accommodate all of the creativity that they have invited for the day. In addition to craft vendors they have also invited Bank Square Books of Mystic (CT); Norwich Free Academy (CT) Chorus and Band; face painters; Pearl Dexter, author and tea expert; Pat Kirker, acoustic guitarist; Wally Lamb, author; Scot Haney of Better Connecticut & meteorologist of WFSB; Connecticut Sun coaches, players, and mascot; Connecticut Tigers mascot; Tilly, the Norwich Public Utilities truck; and McGruff, the Crime Dog. It sure does sound like a day full of activities for all ages!

Fields Memorial School in Bozrah (CT) has invited me back for their 4th annual PTO craft expo on Saturday, December 3, from 10 am to 3pm. I had a chance last year to view most of the other vendors' crafts, and was fascinated by some of the work that other creative and inventive minds have produced, and even been inspired to swap ideas with some of them.

The craft event season is winding down for 2011, so there may not be too many more craft events on my calendar between now and the end of the year, but come springtime it will start up again. I hope to see y'all soon!
