Introduction

Young-Gab Kim (김영갑; 金榮甲) received a B.S. in biotechnology and genetic engineering and minored in computer science & engineering at Korea University, Seoul, Korea, in 2001. He also received his M.S. and Ph. D. degrees in Computer Science & Engineering from the same University in 2003 and 2006, respectively. Since 2001, he has been a member of the Institute of Computer & Information Communication at Korea University. From September 2006 to March 2008, he was a research professor in the Graduate School of Information Management and Security (CIST) at Korea University. From March 2008 to January 2010, he was a senior research fellow at the National Institute of Lifelong Education (NILE). From February 2010 to February 2013, he was a research professor in the Center of Engineering & Education for Dependable Software (CEEDS), College of Information and Communication from Korea University. He also was an assistant professor in the School of Information Technology, Catholic University of Daegu, from March 2013 to February 2015. He is currently a full professor in the Department of Computer and Information Security, College of Software, and Convergence Technology at Sejong University since March 2015. He has published about 200 research papers in the field of computer science and information security. He has served as general chair of SESIS 2012~2019 and ICIIBMS 2020~2024, interoperability (INTOP) track chair at ACM SAC 2021~2024, program co-chair of STA 2013, workshop co-chair of EMC 2012, MUE 2013, and Platcon 2019~2021,  publicity chair of FTRA WCC-WTA 2012, local arrangement co-chair of AIM 2013, the program committee of PGrid 2008, SNA 2008, ICCIT 2009, NISS 2009, SNA 2010, MUE 2014, CIS 2015, IMMM 2015~2021, KSE 2017~2021, SEMAPRO 2018~2021, ICISC 2019~2020, WISA 2020 and PReMI'21. His current research interests include the Internet of things (IoT) security, artificial intelligence (AI) based video security, big data security, interoperability on security and data, metaverse, security risk analysis, and security engineering. As a Korean ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC32 and SC41 member, he is contributing to developing data exchange standards.
