Woke up early to hit Virgin Islands National Park Visitor Center to get trail map for Reef Bay Trail where the few parking spots available fill up quickly. Wooded wide rocky trail with steep drop off early led to 2 old sugar mills. Took a spur trail to see Tiano petroglyphs (900-1500 AD). Carved into rock under one of the only waterfalls on the islands. Bunch of little hermit crabs crossing trail at one spot. End of trail opened to secluded beach only accessible by trail. Cooled off in Caribbean. Hiked back up the way we came. Stopped for lunch at roadside Chateau Bordeaux restaurant. Amazing views and food! Drove to south east end of island, rented snorkel gear at Concordia Eco-lodge nearby and snorkeled at Salt Pond Bay. Water was not as calm and as clear as Trunk Bay Beach but still saw a giant fish. Sunset and drinks at villa. Italian dinner in Cruz Bay at Cafe Roma, had GIANT antipasto plate.
