Today we drove in rain for about 200 of the 307 miles. Surprisingly to me (Kim) it wasn't bad at all - all of our gear is waterproof and I barely even noticed it was raining, except for the occasional raindrop that somehow found it's way through my helmet and into my eye. The complimentary breakfast at the hotel was good and we got on our way at 8am. Overall it was a pretty quiet day, hence the random picture of the strangest christmas/easter/hawaiian tree we've ever seen, courtesy of the little place we had lunch. We made it all the way through Iowa today and crossed the border into Omaha, Ne. We'll be tackling all of Nebraska tomorrow. Kevin talked to Jeff in CO and sounds like the snow they've received should be melting tomorrow and will hopefully be gone by the time we arrive on Monday. We're keeping an eye on the radar, temp should be in mid 60's so we should be all good.

Today's driving time 4 hrs 30 mins and 307 miles.

Total driving time 6 hrs 58 mins and 470 miles.(Averaging 40 m.p.g)
