Review of the 511 Tactical Moab 10 Rifle

The 511 Tactical Moab 10 offers some good value for your hard earned money. It was a well made rifle for the money that met my needs. I think this rifle was worth every penny paid for it.

When I first saw this rifle, I knew I had to have it. At the time, it was advertised as the 'world's fastest sniper rifle.' It had the lowest rate of time between shots of any rifle I had ever owned. And yet, it still gave me enough accuracy to shoot targets while camping and not even be nervous about going up to shoot them.

This rifle is manufactured by Tactical Solutions. It has a lightweight design with an adjustable cheek rest, a lightweight skeleton stock, and a spacer on the bolt handle. It is made in the USA. The carbon-fiber laminate stock looks great with any type of camo pattern.

I was lucky enough to purchase this rifle from a friend who is a student at the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit School in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. He could not get the rifle out of his mind. He bought it for me and said I could use it as long as I wanted it.

The stock is the only area where the rifle feels heavy. However, it is light and feels comfortable. The overall weight is just under five pounds. I did not like the trigger, but then I usually do not care for trigger jobs. I have taken a few thousand rounds with this rifle without any problems.

The quality of this rifle is very good. While the general line of rifles from Tactical Solutions may be more expensive than some of the others I have handled, this one has abetter built and better quality material.

Another important point that I have read about is that the Tac Plus rifle was designed to be used by men. It is a rifle that is meant for competition. However, many women can use it just as well.

I purchased the Tac Plus in a color called Boomerang Blue. It is a very nice color. In addition, the bolts to which the butt pad was screwed were much smaller than I thought they would be.

The first thing I noticed about the Mac Plus was the bad ergonomics of the butt pad. The only way you can tell the butt pad is there is if you are really looking for it. The pad is one of the first things you notice when you pick up the rifle.

The butt pad is nice and comfortable, but it does not sit on my shins. You can see the grain of my shins from a long distance away. Also, the butt pad does not provide the necessary support to keep it from hitting your shins while you are shooting. It also does not help you have a very comfortable grip on the rifle.

When I opened the box for the Tactical Moab 10, I did not know what to expect. I opened the case to see the original box. This included everything needed to start shooting. Included were the cleaning rod, scope base, shooter's manual, and a canvas bag for storing the rifle.

After doing my research and being patient, I finally got to try out the Tactical Moab 10. I am pleased with the value and look forward to buying another one. My father-in-law will get one as well.
