As a tactical mobile phone accessory, the "Tactical Beast" is a very well-designed and produced product, that will allow you to keep tabs on your child's location at all times. But is it really a good idea?

It is not only young children who are often under suspicion is an addictive habit. Many of us know someone who turns out to be an extrovert with addictions to his or her cell phone. Unfortunately, many of them end up with something even worse - suicide attempts.

This little voice recorder is carried around the neck, and after a short while of being worn, it will record the voice of the person who is following the child. This record is then sent to the parent or guardian through an email attachment.

The kid can then immediately determine the direction that the person is travelling in and where they are located, in this particular trouble spot. They also can listen to the recording and determine whether they are being followed, or whether the person is just expressing their boredom with their phone.

So if a child is not being bullied by a neighborhood bully, but they are simply curious about strange people watching them, the child is able to establish contact with the person who is following them. In most cases, this person is not a criminal, but it is much safer than trying to run away.

Even if the person follows the child for no reason at all, it is still perfectly safe to use the tracking device. For example, if the child is at the store to buy a bottle of water, and they see a man following them, and he pulls in behind them, it is perfectly acceptable to utilize the device as a method of alerting the parent that the child needs help.

Some parents are not satisfied with using the "TactDigger", as it is known by many. They prefer the more traditional name, the "Halo".

The "Halo" is a device that attaches to the child's wrist with a small clip, so that it can be hidden in clothing. Once the child falls asleep, it can be removed.
