Support

The University of Sheffield has an extensive network of support for students. Please see the links for these on the main Psychology Student Handbook web page, in the boxes marked "Study Support" and "Health, Wellbeing and Community". A good place to start is the University's Student Online Support Hub web page.

In addition, the School of Psychology provides some additional support, as follows. 

Psychology PGT Support

PGT students can email our part-time PGT Support Officer at: psypgt@sheffield.ac.uk. Use this email address as a first point of contact for queries regarding:

• Welfare, wellbeing or pastoral concerns that you'd like the School to be aware of

• Extensions

• Extenuating Circumstances

• Blackboard/Turnitin submission queries

• Specific questions about aspects of the course

If in doubt, and you can't find the information in this Handbook, on the Psychology Student Handbook web page, or on the University's Student Hub web pages, email us - we'll be able to answer your query or signpost you to the most relevant advice or information.

Academic Tutors

Your academic tutor will be a member of academic staff based in the School of Psychology. They will be your initial point of contact for all queries and issues related to academic progression and accessing your studies during your time at Sheffield. They're provided with up-to-date information, such as your attendance and module results, by the PGT Support Team. You can find more information on the University's Your Academic Tutor web page.

Module Organisers

For questions about specific modules, please contact the relevant Module Organiser (MO). You can find their contact details on the Module Descriptions page. MO's can answer questions about:

• Teaching content

• Module assessments

• Module reading and resources
