The University of Sheffield has lots of resources available to students on their Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) webpages. You can find the link to these in the "Health, wellbeing and community" part of the main School of Psychology Handbook.
On the EDI webpages, you'll find information on training available to students, including race equality and consent conversations. Both trainings - the Race Equality Conversation and the Consent Conversation - will be available for all PGT students on 3rd October 2024 from 1pm (13:00) to 3pm (15:00) in the SU Auditorium. We'd really encourage everyone to attend. The main reason (64.3%) that students give for not participating in Consent Conversations was that they haven't been invited to take part; so please consider yourselves explicitly invited!
If you have any concerns about attending these sessions because of the impact of the content, you don't have to attend if it would make you uncomfortable. Due to the nature of the Conversations, they aren't recorded, and the slides unfortunately won't be available afterwards. Instead, you can access resources from the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion webpages.
