A Project Choice booklet including all possible projects for you to choose from for your final project (poster and dissertation) will be circulated shortly after the start of the semester.
A Project Guidelines booklet will also be made available. This suggests an example timeline for working on your project and contains lots of useful information on conducting your research, where to find support and resources, ethics, statistics, writing up your project, and many other aspects of the project.
Once these booklets are available, you'll find the links in this section.
As part of your final project, you'll submit a poster and then present this at our internal Postgraduate Psychology Conference - this will be worth 10% of your grade for the project module. The conference is a collaboration between PGT and PGR (postgraduate research/PhD) students. Submission of the poster will be via Turnitin on the Blackboard module site, as with all other coursework assignments.
The dates for the 2025 PG Conference are Monday 30th June and Tuesday 1st July 2025. Please make sure you are able to attend on both days from 09:00 (9:00am) to 17:00 (5pm). Attendance is compulsory. More information will be available closer to the time, including location, format, accessibility information, and other sessions available for you to attend.
You can find lots of information on how to create poster presentations on the University website in the 301 Academic Skills Centre: Poster Presentations.
