All events will take place in lecture theatre 1 in the Diamond building. Talks will be recorded for the benefit of those arriving late or unable to come to Sheffield.
Things to do and know when you arrive as a student at the University of Sheffield.

In this talk, you will be provided with the key information you will need to navigate your first few weeks of university. You will also be introduced to key departmental contacts including the Head of Department (Prof Liz Mine), the Director of Undergraduate Programmes (Dr Tim Riley) and the Senior Tutor (Dr Jess Lomas)
During this event we will introduce you to our personal tutoring system. Your personal tutor will be your main point of contact over the next 3 years. You will also be introduced to our Student Voice Coordinator who will explain how you can make your voice heard during your time in Sheffield. This session will be followed by a Q&A, so please bring along any questions that you may have!
In our final intro week event we will look forward to your post-graduation life with an overview of employability initiatives and events over the coming year, and key information on how to apply for a placement. This talk will be given by our Employability Lead (Dr Gideon Salter) and our Placements Coordinator (Dr Harriet Smith).
