My name is Matt (he /him) and I'm your Faculty Director for Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing.
My name is Matt (he /him) and I'm your Faculty Director for Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing.
I'm a physicist by training but spend part of my time in this Faculty role, working to improving our departments and schools for all students and staff, and celebrating the fantastic diversity we have here.
I got involved in EDI work a number of years ago, first when I became the chair of the University LGBT+ Staff Network, and then as the EDI lead in my own department. I'm also a disabled member of staff who wears hearing aids and has mental health conditions.
Each department has their own EDI lead as well as an EDI committee. If you want to get involved or have something you want to raise you can either contact your EDI lead below or get in touch with me directly.
