To help you develop essential study and future career skills , you can access these University services:
Student Services Information Desk (SSiD) - the central student information service that provides a variety of key services.
Careers Service - a service to help, advise and enhance your career options. The central careers team will help you gain essential transferrable skills and employability attributes.
301 Academic Skills Centre - a service to help you develop the essential academic and study skills which underpin your learning at University.
The Library - the library provides a range of services to support learning, teaching, and research activities at the University. This includes access to extensive information resources, plus a wide range of flexible learning environments

Student Services Information Desk (SSiD)
The Student Services Information Desk is the central information service that can answer the majority of your questions, or where you can go to as a starting point for help and advice.
The SSiD team can help you feel settled in the early days, providing documents for you to prove your student status, helping you prepare for exams, getting access to your results and providing official documents for after graduation. You'll find the SSiD drop-in service on the ground floor (Level 3) of the Students Union Building

301 Academic Skills Centre
The 301 Academic Skills Centre provides opportunities for all undergraduate and Master's students to develop the essential academic and study skills which underpin your learning at University.
In particular, the ‘Level Up Your Skills’ resources are there to support you in developing the skills and confidence to make a positive start on your course, and help you transition to University level study.
Maths and stats at university can be very different to what you’re used to. MASH - The Maths and Statistics help service is here to support you throughout your time at Sheffield.

The University Library
The University Library is one of the outstanding academic research libraries in the UK.
