The 7th graders have finished their printmaking unit and are now working on a conceptual piece to accompany their Pay It Forward research. After watching a slideshow of artwork inspired by social justice, students were asked to brainstorm ideas for either a two or three dimensional piece that fits in a 3’ x 3’ x 3’ space. They have chosen to work in a variety of mediums from painting and drawing to mixed media dioramas, photography, and cast objects. Students have jumped right in to the project with strong ideas and sustained enthusiasm and have set ambitious goals for themselves. The results of their hard work will be on display on May 21 at the Pay It Forward culmination.
