7th Grade Science

This week, we have been learning about atoms, elements, and compounds. We observed how compounds containing different elements can burn different colors. Students also built models of atoms using beads and plates. They determined the number of protons, electrons, and neutrons in one atom of an element from the information on the periodic table.
