A five-week residential program for rising high school seniors. Students enroll in one or two undergraduate courses for credit and study alongside undergraduates.


This program is ideal for students who want to earn college credit, challenge themselves academically and explore courses in a specific major or subject.


High School Summer Scholars live on campus in one of our top-ranked, air-conditioned residence halls. In addition to coursework, students participate in enrichment programming designed to support the development of important college readiness skills.


Courses are taught by WashU instructors from across campus disciplines and research fields including humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and mathematics. Introductory-level curriculum provides an opportunity for students to create a strong foundation for future undergraduate studies. Past course options have explored subjects including economics, linguistics, statistics, anthropology, philosophy, drama, and political science.
