How would you describe your EP to someone who has never heard of it before?
At Baruch Step you learn a topic in STEM of your choice. From web design to anatomy and physiology you have a class of peers and an instructor. In this class you do activities, sit through lectures, and work with peers. Overall the program is pretty good for beginners.
What is a typical day like during your EP?
Waking up in the morning, commuting from my home to Baruch campus, and sitting in class. Classes had lectures most of the time. Other times we would have an activity or be in the computer lab to work on our end of program projects.
What was the biggest challenge of your EP?
Definitely finding the motivation to finish the EP. Another challenge would be finding the courage and confidence to talk to the people around you.
What was the biggest reward of your EP?
The biggest reward would be learning about a topic that you’ve probably never worked on before. Like from my anatomy and physiology class I learned about the anatomy of our body and how it works.
What do you wish you had known before you went on your EP?
I wish I had known that it was going to be more of a lecture type program and was definitely a pain and hassle going through.
What advice do you have for future SEO scholars who are considering your EP?
Even though Baruch Step was difficult I would say it is a good idea if you want a more slow paced, classroom lecture, and small program.
