Sonepur Cattle Fair

The Sonepur Cattle Fair or Sonepur Mela (सोनपुर मेला),Located in Sonepur, Bihar. Which is a Flatland so people easily trade various kinds of animals, especially elephants, horses, and camels. The festival also has religious significance is held as it is held on Kartik Poornima (the full moon day) in the month of November in Sonepur, Bihar, on the confluence of river Ganga and Gandak. 

It is also known as Harihar Kshetra Mela or Malegaon Mela. Till date, it is the biggest cattle fair of Asia and stretches on from fifteen days to one month. Around 25 Lakh– 30 Lakh people visit this festival annually mixed tourists from all over the globe.
