Serendipity art festival goa, popularly known for its music festivals and art exhibitions, is spread across Panaji . The promenade and the art park both being the assigned locations for the festival along with the mandovi river flowing from between connecting the two sites acts as an interesting anchor point for a design intervention. Keeping the close proximity of the two sites in mind, the design intends on proposing a connect from one festival location to the other along with providing a programmatic space for the festival visitors. As you walk towards the edge of the promenade, café allows a stacked seating or a gathering space. With a cloud kitchen on the right, the café is essentially a series of decks, stitched together by a narrow staircase. These decks being multi-functional, can be used as a personal studio space, as a workshop space, as a small scale performance space, or simply as a viewing deck, overlooking the madovi meeting the shore. The stairs at some places extends to form seating spaces, connecting the two decks. The play of levels, staring from the promenade which stands 5 meter tall, to the edge of the river and the starting of the art park having a subtle slope of 1 meter, adds to the experience of the intervention from just being a connector to being a linear yet playful spartial experience.
The structure stands on thin steel columns following a laid out support grid which is followed throughout the intervention. The steps and the decks are both added with wooden panels as the flooring. thin hand raillings on either sides are added for safety measures. the tensile roof being a temporary collapsible one, provides the visitor with a preference while also maintaining the linearity of the space
