GMAIL

All students get an email account provided to them by the District. Your email address will be your username (see Level 2) followed by @my.sduhsd.net

(Helpful hint: students often get the letters jumbled when it comes to the second half of their email address. Please make sure you have typed them correctly).

Use the following links to see how you should compose any emails to your teacher and some useful tips and tricks related to your email account.

You should use your District email account if you wish to email your teacher. Emails from personal accounts may not be responded to.

GOOGLE DOCS, SLIDES, AND SHEETS

Any piece of work that requires a written response should be created in Google Docs. If you check out our introduction page for Google Docs you will see instructions for how to use this program. There is also useful advice about formatting your work correctly.

Sometimes you may be required to complete work in other Google Workspace tools. You can also find introduction pages for Google Sheets (used for creating tables) and Google Slides (used for presentations and slideshows).

GOOGLE DRIVE

Each student has their own Google Drive account. Think of this as a digital folder. Every piece of work you create using Google Docs will automatically be stored in your Google Drive as well as everything you turn in through Google Classroom.

Our introduction page for Google Drive provides advice on how to keep your work organized and easily accessible. There are also instructions for how to find a particular piece of work and how to create folders for each of your classes.
