GOOGLE SLIDES

SLIDESHOW PRESENTATIONS

You can use Google Slides to create slideshow presentations. This is a great way of presenting information.

Click 'Insert' to add text, pictures, or videos.

Click 'Present' in the top-right corner to see how your slideshow looks when you present it.

For further information about animations and effects, please see the information provided below.

Helpful hint: set up your first page and then duplicate it for the rest of your project. This means you will have the same backdrop and layout throughout.

ANIMATE YOUR SLIDESHOW

Click ‘Slide’ and select ‘Transition’ to choose an effect for moving between slides.

Use the same technique to add effects to specific parts of your slide. For example, you can make images fade in or out. You can make your text boxes fly in from the side of the screen. This is definitely a fun feature to play around with if you would like to make your slideshow more visually interesting.

VISUAL PROJECTS

If you're looking to add pictures to your written work, this is what you'll need to do. Firstly open a new Google Slides project.

Go to 'File' and select 'Page Setup'.

Select 'Custom'

Set your page to the dimensions 8.5 x 11

Your page is now the size of a regular piece of printer paper. It's easy to draw text boxes for your written work, drag in pictures or visual aids, and move things around.

Helpful hint: Go to 'Insert' and select 'Word Art' for dramatic headings/titles. You can change the color and font to whatever you think looks best.
