Part of the Campo reservation tour scholars take at the beginning of the year includes a visit to the Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) office. Scholars are able to hear from the community members working there. The resources are available for families who qualify and include transportation, child care, and assistance with vocational training, health care, basic living expenses, and tuition. After the visit and discussion with tribal employees scholars are able to better understand, describe, and connect families to the resources available through TANF.
