All Scholars must first be accepted into the School Counseling or School Psychology program through San Diego State University.
Application to these graduate programs will require readiness in personal, professional, and cross-cultural areas. Both of these programs — and the NAISC Project — are demanding of heart, mind, time, and commitment.
Application to the Native American and Indigenous Scholars Collaborative requires the submission of the application form, resumé or vita, a personal statement regarding your potential as a Scholar, and an assurance statement regarding your relationship and commitments to Native American/ Indigenous communities. (This usually occurs after admission to one of the graduate programs). A selected group is invited to interview.
We encourage you to speak with the NAISC Project Director or Graduate Assistant about the programs and application process well before applications are due.
