8/10 Welcome to Week 6: Preventing Alzheimer's Disease

Hello Online Brain Fitness Students,

Welcome to Week 6 of our Summer Online Brain Fitness Class! This week we have very exciting lesson on Preventing Alzheimer’s Disease. Don’t miss this message of hope and motivation. All links can be found below.

Last Week

We learned about social isolation and loneliness. Whatever these words conjure up for you, we hope that you are now armed with a number of positive and effective tools to cope with and combat the symptoms of these feelings, in yourself and in helping those around you. Reach out and make someone’s day a little less lonely with a phone call or text today. It may help you to feel a little less isolated, too.

This Week

This lesson is one of hope. In this lesson, we learn new information about Alzheimer’s disease, a neurodegenerative disease that to many seems hopeless. But the focus of Debbie’s lesson is on the emerging consensus among scientists and the medical community that Alzheimer’s disease may indeed be preventable. This is one of the greatest messages of hope we can hear. View the Lesson Homepage here, or you can download the print the Handout here. When you're done Take the Quiz to see how much you’ve learned about this new perspective on AD. Then, be sure to sign up for Debbie’s new class this fall: “Alzheimer’s: The Science of Prevention.”

Fall Registration

Begins at 12:00 noon on August 17th. Watch for our emails with more information.
