Getting Started

CONTINUING STUDENTS - Welcome back!

Thank you all for being such an important part of our Brain Fitness Program. We are happy that you are continuing in the class, and continuing to challenge and improve your brain with the BrainHQ exercises, and by learning how to use and care for your brain through our Brain Fitness Lessons. We are starting our semester with a wonderful overview and reminder of why brain fitness is so necessary and beneficial to our overall health and wellbeing. It's full of important information and reminders that we should all review ofter. Please read over the lesson and think about the ways you have changed your brain, habits, and lifestyle to promote a stronger and healthier brain since you first joined this class. We'd love to see you and hear from you at our Zoom session this Wednesday evening. See the details for joining Zoom below.

NEW STUDENTS - Before getting started, please review the information and handouts linked below.

This summer is too short to offer our full "Basics" class designed for new students. If you have registered for our Brain Fitness course for the first time, we are happy to have you and welcome you to this wonderful class. We want to support you in every way possible to make sure this is a positive and successful experience for you. Since it is not possible to give you the full introduction to the class and the BrainHQ brain training program, we are providing some very important "Getting Started" handouts and documents to introduce you to our websites and the brain training program, as well as Lesson #1 in of our Summer Brain Fitness Class - Why Brain Fitness? (linked below). We encourage all of you to register for the full Basics class coming this Fall, to receive the very important Brain Fitness foundation lessons that there is not time for this summer. You won't be sorry, and your brain will thank you for it!

Reminder - Whenever you see an underlined word, title, or sentence on our webpages, it means that these are active links to additional pages or resources we would like you to read. Simply click on any active link to open a new tab containing the document. To return back to this lesson homepage and continue, click on the X on the open tab (at the top of the page) to close it, and you will return to this Lesson Homepage .

Why Brain Fitness? Lesson (for All)

Our summer semester is short and sweet. This summer we will cover some pretty unique lessons on understanding the brain, how we think, why we do what we do, and what we can do to have a better, more functional brain. Our first lesson is a wonderful overview of why we offer this class on brain fitness and what we can do to keep our brains strong and healthy. You can view it by clicking on this link (recommended). If you would like to download and read the handout, you can view/download it here. After you have completed the lesson, please take the weekly quiz to see how much you learned.
