Abstract
This study aims to assess and measure the effects of Delight Enhancement Program (DEP) to the levels in the meaning of life of the elderlies in Bahay Pag-ibig at Pag-asa Home for the Aged of Imus, Cavite. The researchers used mixed method research design which involves collecting, analyzing and integrating quantitative and qualitative research. Fifteen elderlies were considered through complete enumeration. They were composed of 12 females and 3 males. The Delight Enhancement Program (DEP) was administered to the participants. For quantitative approach, initial levels were determined through the Meaning in Life Questionnaire. The participants completed the 6 module program developed by the researchers using the 4A approach. The statistical tools employed in this research was the Arithmetic Mean, dependent T-test, standard deviation, frequency, percentage distribution. For qualitative approach, the participant`s outputs obtained from each module was analyzed and determined that supported the quantitative results. The attainment levels of the participants revealed that the presence of meaning of life of the participants had been enhanced and searched for the meaning of their own lives. This implied that there is a significant difference between the initial and attainment levels of presence of meaning therefore the null hypothesis is rejected.
