Abstract
Internet became the biggest worldwide communication. The social the person tends to use internet/social media in order to be updated on what is happening to his/her environment, aside from that using without even spending any amount of money. The researchers seek to analyze the motives that correlate between Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and extraversion. The researchers gathered foreign and local studies in line with the research framework and theories used. The study made use descriptive correlation, research design using ANOVA one way and Pearson r. This research made of two (2) instruments, one of the questioners was to measure the level of FOMO and the other one was a questioner to measure the level of extraversion. The results of the research showed a significant relationship (p=0.00) in regards on the relationship between fear of missing out of the students when grouped according to course program. The result of the research showed that there is no significant difference (p=0.95) in regard to the difference between the extraversion of the students when grouped according to course program. The result of the research showed that there is no significant difference (p=0.59) on the difference between fear of missing out of the students when grouped according to hours spent on Facebook of the students. The result showed no significant difference (p=.755) on the difference between the extraversion of the students when grouped according to hours spent on Facebook of the students. The result of the research showed significant difference (p=.000) in terms of the relationship between fear of missing out and extraversion of the students. In addition to the scale, demographic profile was included. There is a significance in the study therefore the entire null hypothesis was rejected.
