Information technology or computer engineering program: Factors that influence SHS of SDCA in choosing a career path in college

Abstract
This study examines the factors that influence the career choice decisions among Senior high school students at St. Dominic College of Asia between Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Computer Engineering. In addressing this objective, this study utilized ninety-six (96) Grade 11 and Grade 12 Senior high school students. The Respondents were selected random sampling approach based on a descriptive survey design. They were given a specially designed questionnaire, and the data collected were analyzed descriptively using the WEKA as a tool for Statistical analysis. The study concluded that students are more inclined to choose a career in Computer Engineering rather than Information Technology.
