Abstract
This research was formulated to determine the alternative course programs for students who were not able to meet the requirements in accountancy in St. Dominic College of Asia, specifically to why students shift to other programs. The descriptive research design was used in this study. The researcher gathered data from forty-two (42) respondents using a survey questionnaire. BS Accounting Technology has the highest respondents with 34 or 81% of the students. Quota grade becomes the major factor for students who shifted to other programs. Other students also transferred from St. Dominic College of Asia to another school based on various factors. It is recommended that educators conduct activities that could be beneficial to the studies of accounting students. Accounting educators could provide a student-centered environment to allow students to develop their skills and be professionally competitive. More so, the researcher recommends guiding and giving advice to the students who want to shift to other courses.
