Self-organizing Learning Strategies and Scientific Mindfulness of Postgraduate Students: An Exploratory Study

Abstract
This study aimed to determine the level of self-organizing learning strategies and scientific mindfulness, in identifying the nature of their relationship, and differences among postgraduates in light of some demographic variables. The researcher selected a random sample consisted of (118) post graduate students; their ages ranged between (26-38) years; with an average age of (31.12) years; and a standard deviation of (3.698). Self-organizing learning strategies scale and scientific mindfulness scale were applied, all of which were prepared by the researchers. The results showed there was an average level of self-organizing learning strategies and scientific mindfulness of students. A positive correlation at (0.001) was established between self-organizing learning strategies and scientific mindfulness at (r = 0.535). Moreover, the results showed no significant differences between males and females in self- organizing strategies and scientific mindfulness. The results of the simple regression analysis indicated that self-organizing learning strategies were powerful predictors of scientific mindfulness.
