Abstract
This research paper investigates the off-campus on the job experiential learning of SBCS students which is intended to determine the necessity of introducing incampus training prior to apprenticeship. It also determines students’ readiness to gain an experience and to enhance their connection between the real world situations and the classroom activities. This study also aims to find out whether In-campus OJT is necessary before students undergo the Off-campus OJT. The study used fifty student-respondents; forty (40) BSBA Alumni who graduated in AY 2016-2018, and ten (10) fourth year BSA students. The researchers used the Descriptive Method and data were collected using structured questionnaires which were sent to them through the online communication. The result of the study revealed a necessity to train student-respondents to eliminate their fear, anxiety, and confusion when they start the off-campus OJT. With all the advantages mentioned, the researchers recommended the introduction of In-campus OJT for BSBA/BSA/BSAT students. It is also recommended that the school and its partner companies should further intensify the OJT programs in place to fully prepare the students for their OJT and employment afterwards.
