Kin Canada Foundation Scholarship
$1,000 bursaries are awarded to successful Canadian applicants who are pursuing a post-secondary education at a recognized university, community college, technical institute, or other schools for advanced education.

Cmolik Foundation Scholarships
Up to 20 scholarships of up to $45,000 each (paid out over 5 years of study) will be awarded to BC students. Scholarship recipients have faced adversity but have responded with positivity and tenacity, achieving their academic and social goals. Applicants must be BC residents who have lived in Canada for at least seven years.
To be considered for nomination, your completed nomination form must be submitted to the Career Commons at École Royal Bay by February 1st in order to be endorsed by the school.

ZONTA Young Women in Public Affairs Award
This $2500 award is open to women aged 16-19 studying at a secondary school, college or university in a Zonta district/region who demonstrate evidence of the following, are eligible to apply.
Active commitment to volunteerism.
Experience in local government, student government, or workplace leadership (paid or unpaid).
Volunteer leadership achievements.
Knowledge of Zonta International and its programs.
Support in Zonta International's mission of building a better world for women and girls.

This scholarship is open to students who consider themselves to have a disability, visible or invisible.

Peninsula CO-OP Scholarships
14 scholarships, totaling $15,000, are offered in the areas of athletics, community service, academic excellence, overcoming adversity, etc. Students apply directly through the University of Victoria or Camosun College websites.
Note: The recipient must be a Peninsula Co-op member or the immediate family of a member. Immediate family of the student includes parents, step-parents, guardians, siblings, grandparents, uncles and aunts. Students and immediate family must have had active membership prior to September 1st of the previous year and must currently be in good standing with Peninsula Co-op.

BCGEU (BC General Employees Union) Scholarships
These $2000 scholarships are open to Grade 12 students who are related to a current, retired, or deceased BCGEU member (parents, grandparents, common law, foster parents) and are planning to attend a post-secondary institution in September.
"This year, applicants are asked to submit an essay, video, song or infographic in response to one of three questions:
The Supreme Court of Canada has recognized the right to strike as an "indispensable component" of collective bargaining. Why is this important?
The current state of the world poses many challenges. How do you remain hopeful? How can a democratic labour movement bring forth change?

BC Excellence Scholarships
The Provincial Government offers 55 BC Excellence Scholarships annually to recognize well-rounded B.C. graduates. Successful students will have demonstrated community service, both inside and outside of school, and shown aptitude and commitment to their chosen career paths. They will receive a $5000 scholarship voucher to use for post-secondary tuition.
To be considered as Royal Bay’s student nominee, you must first complete the application package which includes:
A resume (emphasizing your school & community service, volunteer experience, academic successes, etc.)
Two reference letters (one from a community member/organization and one from your school or a teacher)
A written statement, maximum 500 words, in which you describe:
What led you to your most relevant community service, volunteer activity, and/or leadership role;
What you learned from this experience;
How this experience will benefit you in your chosen career path.
To be considered for nomination, your completed form must be submitted to the École Royal Bay Career Commons on or before the deadline Monday, February 5th, 2024

Pathway to Teacher Education Scholarship - BC Ministry of Education
The Pathway to Teacher Education Scholarship is awarded to 20 outstanding high school graduates who have demonstrated a commitment and aptitude for a career path in K-12 teaching. Winners receive a $5000 scholarship voucher to redeem when they are registered and attending an approved K-12 teacher education program at one of BC's nine Faculties of Education.

BC Boys Basketball Association
Various scholarships are provided by the British Columbia High School Boys’ Basketball Association (BCHSBBA). Scholarships shall be awarded to students proceeding from Grade 12 to any university or other post-secondary institution.

This $1000 award is granted annually to a well-rounded student in Grade 12 who is involved and interested in many things and has an understanding of the importance of parent involvement in education. BCSTA Scholarships for Student Citizenship are open to graduating BC public school students who have either: displayed exemplary citizenship within their school and community as recipients of the BCSTA Student Citizenship Scholarship or excelled at communication studies and have expressed an interest in using their communications skills in the support of public policy and education.

RE/MAX Quest for Excellence
The Quest for Excellence Program recognizes the pursuits in leadership and community contributions of Western Canadian students. High school students graduating from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon and Northwest Territories are encouraged to write an essay to convey the contributions they have made to enrich the lives of others and their communities through leadership, motivation, volunteering and participation in charitable events or fundraising.

SEG Scholarship
Society of Exploration Geophysicists Scholarships are based on merit. To qualify, you must plan to attend college next year, have above average grades, and intend to pursue a college curriculum directed toward a career in applied geophysics.

BC Principals' and Vice-Principals' Association (BCPVPA) Scholarship
The BCPVPA awards up to 20 scholarships, in the amount of $1000 each, to students graduating from the BC public school system and who will proceed to a post-secondary institution. Applicants will be assessed on academic excellence and demonstrated leadership in the school and community.
Up to 10 scholarships are reserved for the children of BCPVPA members.
Up to 10 scholarships are awarded to other graduating students.
Up to 2 scholarships will be awarded to Indigenous students.

Colwood Volunteer Firefighter's Association Scholarship
This $2000 scholarship is open to any grade 12 student graduating from a secondary school, or person under the age of 21, who has resided within the City of Colwood for at least 5 years at the time of graduation. The candidate must have performed volunteer service within the past five years at date of application.
(Preference may be given to immediate family of a Colwood Volunteer Firefighters Association member.)
Please plan ahead for submission as you will need to mail your application through Canada Post - ideally, the application package should be mailed a week before the due date of April 1st.

Coastal Community Credit Union's Scholarship Program
Do you have a great idea to make a positive difference in your community? Do you want to see that idea become a reality? Coastal Community would like to help you make that happen with our Scholarship Program. "In order to be eligible for a scholarship, we ask that you submit a plan for a project to improve your community."
They will award eight Grade 12 students with a $2000 scholarship for post-secondary.

Western Inspirational Bursary Award
This $750.00 bursary offered by Western Financial Group. This bursary award is not a scholarship for high academic achievement. It is a character award that aims to recognize the students in our communities who have overcome various adversities, including mental health, physical disability, discrimination, financial hardship, or family issues.
Despite these challenges, these students have demonstrated kindness, determination, and courage to graduate high school and continue their education through post-secondary institutions, trade schools, online courses, or the military.
Applications to be Ecole Royal Bay's nominee are required to submit the following documents:
a paragraph outlining your plans and goals for the future and the continuation of your education
an essay describing how you have demonstrated the characteristics outlined in the award criteria listed above. Please provide enough information to clearly explain why you should be RBSS' nominee.
