Terry Fox Humanitarian Award
This award is open to students of all abilities. To be considered, applicants must meet be in good academic standing, Canadian citizens or landed immigrants, and applying for a degree/diploma at a Canadian college/university. Recipients are selected for their dedication to the humanitarian ideals of Terry Fox, their courage in overcoming obstacles, and definite marks of distinction and persistence in the pursuit of excellence in academic, athletic, and civic life. These students are involved in activities or organizations that improve human welfare, make a difference, and have a positive impact on their community and others. Candidates may face different types of obstacles. Financial need is not in itself a criteria of the award. It can, however, be included as an obstacle. Island Savings/PISE Training Scholarship
Several awards of $525 will be presented to high school athletes who have excelled in their sport, demonstrated positive leadership and sportsmanship, maintained a positive academic performance, and are interested in taking their sport performance to the next level. The award will be provided in the form of a credit towards strength and conditioning services with PISE’s Performance Training Coaches.

The Horatio Alger Scholarships
65 Scholarships of $5,000 are awarded to full-time students in their final year of high school.
To be eligible to apply for the Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be enrolled full-time as a high school grade 11 or first-year CEGEP student in Canada
Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited university
Prove critical financial need ($65,000 or less annual net income per family is required)
Demonstrate desire and ability to be entrepreneurial in a chosen field
Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
Maintain a minimum grade percentage of 70
Be Canadian citizens
Applicants for both the Entrepreneurial and Canadian Scholarships are required to fill out only ONE application. The Association will use the one application to consider you for all programs for which you are eligible.

Launchpad Scholarship by Tundra Technical
Tundra Technical Solutions is a global IT and engineering staffing firm that would like to jump start your university career with a chance to win $1,000 towards a STEM program of your choice. Queen's University Major Admission Awards
Students wishing to be considered for a Major Entrance Scholarship will need to apply for admission to Queen’s via the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC) by no later than November 20th to submit your MAA application by December 8th.

Violet Richardson Award
This $250.00 award celebrates young women between the ages of 14 and 18 for volunteer action such as fighting drugs, crime and violence, cleaning up the environment and working to end discrimination and poverty. The scholarship honours Violet Richardson, the president of the first Soroptimist Club. Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. Students must apply to the local club level and be nominated to move forward to the district level.

Students wishing to be considered for a Major Admission Award must submit their early admissions online application by December 1st. This includes paying the admission fee and submitting grade 11 and 12 marks as requested in the application.

UBC Beyond Tomorrow Scholars Program
The UBC Beyond Tomorrow Scholars Program assists Black Canadian students who are transitioning to UBC from secondary school or another post-secondary institution. The purpose of the program is to financially support academically qualified students who show an interest in joining and contributing to the UBC community at both the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses, but who would not be able to attend without significant financial assistance. The Beyond Tomorrow Scholar Award is offered annually and supports scholars with funding up to $20,000/year entering an undergraduate degree.

Burger King Scholars Program
Applicants need to demonstrate active volunteering in their communities, in sport, faith groups, clubs, or other organizations. There are two options for this scholarship, one for employees and one for non-employees.

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist resilient BC students who face financial adversity and who have the academic readiness to advance their education, achieve their dreams, and inspire others. Schulich Leader Scholarships (***Students are encouraged to start this application early to ensure it is thoroughly completed by the due date.)
Applications for the Schulich Leader Scholarships are now open. Twenty undergraduate scholarships (of $100,000-$120,000 each) are available for students intending to enroll in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) areas of study at a minimum of one of the 20 selected universities.
Students must be planning a career in one or more of the following areas: technology, engineering, entrepreneurship and business enterprise, applied scientific research. Students are selected by their individual schools and must possess at least two of the three criteria listed:
1. Outstanding community, business, or entrepreneurial leadership
2. Academic excellence
3. Financial need

RBC Future Launch Indigenous Youth Scholarship
This award is for Indigenous students to help them complete their post-secondary education, and provide an opportunity for RBC to strengthen its relationship with the Indigenous community. Selected students are awarded up to $10,000 each academic year (for up to four years) to use towards tuition, textbooks, supplies and living expenses. RBC also considers scholarship recipients who are interested in careers in financial services for summer and post-graduate employment.

BC Excellence Scholarships
Applications are now open for the 55 BC Excellence Scholarships, offered by the provincial government to annually to recognize well-rounded B.C. graduates. Successful students will have demonstrated community service, both inside and outside of school, and shown aptitude and commitment to their chosen career paths. They will receive a $5000 scholarship voucher to use for post-secondary tuition. To be considered as Royal Bay’s student nominee, you must first complete the application package which includes:
A resume (emphasizing your school & community service, volunteer experience, academic successes, etc.)
Two reference letters (one from a community member/organization and one from your school or a teacher)
A written statement, maximum 500 words, in which you describe:
What led you to your most relevant community service, volunteer activity, and/or leadership role;
What you learned from this experience;
How this experience will benefit you in your chosen career path.

Pathway to Teacher Education Scholarship - BC Ministry of Education
Applications are now open for the Pathway to Teacher Education Scholarships which are awarded to 20 outstanding high school graduates who have demonstrated a commitment and aptitude for a career path in K-12 teaching. Winners receive a $5000 scholarship voucher to redeem when they are registered and attending an approved K-12 teacher education program at one of BC's nine Faculties of Education.

The Quest for Excellence Program recognizes the pursuits in leadership and community contributions of Western Canadian students. High school students graduating from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon and Northwest Territories are encouraged to write an essay to convey the contributions they have made to enrich the lives of others and their communities through leadership, motivation, volunteering and participation in charitable events or fundraising.
