If you are unable to complete the challenges below for any reason, feel free to adjust the activity to meet your learner's specific needs. Happy Learning!

Play Addition Top-It with someone. Directions: Use a deck of cards. Pass out all the cards in the deck between the players. Each player flips over 2 cards and adds them. The person with the largest sum wins the round and takes the cards. The person with the most cards at then end of the game wins!

Challenge 5:

Number Riddles. Use the clues to figure out the number.

  • The number is between 10 and 100.

  • There is a 9 in the ones place.

  • The sum of the digits is 11.

You try! Create a number riddle and share it with someone.

Challenge 6:

How many ways can you show 43 with place value blocks. Draw a quick picture or use these blocks.

Practice counting place value blocks to tell how many. Can you find all of the presents at the place value party?

Challenge 7:

Show five different ways to make 30 cents. Use real coins, draw it on paper, or use these online money pieces.

Get more practice counting money. Find the correct amount to feed the Dolphins.

Challenge 8:

Graphs can help us display information about a set of day. Watch this to review how to make a bar graph. Then, collect data and make a bar graph.

  • Ask the people in your how what which flavor ice cream they like the best. Chocolate, Strawberry, or Vanilla

  • Look in your refrigerator. Categorize items by Dairy, Fruit, Vegetable, or Meat.

Challenge 9:

It is half past 7.

  • Write that time as it would be on a digital clock.

  • Draw that time on a clock face, or use this clock to show the time.

  • How many more minutes until the next hour?

  • What is the next hour?

Have some more practice with telling time by creating your own schedule for your day with the beginning and ending times of your activities.
