Welcome to the Spanish Dual Language Virtual Learning University page! We’re so glad you’re here! Below are some activities to challenge and keep you learning throughout the summer. If you are unable to complete the challenges below for any reason, feel free to adjust the activity to meet your learner's specific needs. Happy Learning!

Challenge 1: Connect with someone special

Write a message in the target language to connect with someone special. Looking for ideas to write to:

A loved family member
A special friend
A community member
A classmate
A teacher

You could also write a message and post it on your window, or sidewalk with chalk.

Challenge 2: Visit a new Place Virtually

Take a virtual class or participate in a virtual activity. Looking for places to visit virtually. Check these out:

Tell somebody at home in the target language what you learned or what you thought was interesting.

Challenge 3: Learn something new about Spanish culture

Learn more about target language culture. Choose an activity below and listen for words you know.

Make a target language playlist and sing along to your favorite music.

Challenge 4: Retelling

Set a goal of how many books and pages you want to read in the target language this summer. You can find great titles here:

Pick a story and tell a family member what the story was about or your favorite part.

Challenge 5: Keep practicing and learning Spanish at home

Sign up each of your family members to practice your target language. Whether beginner or advanced set a goal to practice from 5 to 15 minutes a day. Check these out:
